Mr. Piotr Berger's career in the IT and information security industry began in the late 1990s in banking security. During this period, he specialized in the SWIFT area, a global financial communication system between banks. In the early years of his career, he collaborated with the Polish Development Bank, where he implemented a pioneering project – the first SWIFT Alliance installation in Poland.

In the following years, he worked in the IT area with AIG PTE, Prokom SOFTWARE, and Poczta Polska, where he prepared a comprehensive security plan approved by the board of Poczta Polska.

He is a leading auditor according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 & EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 standards. As a Leading Auditor according to these standards, he plays a key role in managing and auditing information security management systems, responsible for monitoring and improving information security processes. In 2021, he completed the Information Security Management System (ISMS) Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course (ISO/IEC 27001:2013 & EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017) with the course number 17287 and obtained the certificate number ENR-00966648, confirming his competence as a Leading Auditor.

Since 2017, he has also been a certified Internal Auditor. He specializes in risk analysis and effects for data protection (DPIA) and in the field of reporting personal data breaches.

He is a member of the Data Protection Inspectors Club, the Data Protection Practitioners Association, and the Data Protection Inspectors Association (SABI).
